How to Make a Survival Candle!
So you want to make a candle for TEOTWAWKI. There are a lot of benefits to having lots of candles in a survival situation. For one, they can help provide heat, even if its a small amount and 2 they provide instant light if electricity goes out. You can make candles out of various items you already have at home. I made this survival candle out of a 7up can, cardboard, wicks left over from candles made for our wedding and candle wax. Below is the video showing how to make the candles.
After the video I burned the candle till it went out. The survival candle lasted approximately 4-5 hours and produced much more heat and light than a standard candle. The wicks are also not necessary but do make it a little easier to lite. Using candles you already have at home you can make these candles essentially for free.
